Kaisoo collab part 1/9 based on the Radiohead song.

Two figures were tangled in pale green sheets, curled in on each other to fit on a twin-size bed. Kyungsoo held up the camcorder and flipped the screen to face them as Jongin found empty space on the only pillow. When Kyungsoo spoke it was low and soft.

“It’s, uh,” Kyungsoo glanced to the digital clock on the bedside table, “late, and in a few hours we have to get up for graduation.” He caught Jongin watching him and looked away from the screen with a sidelong glance. Jongin shifted in the bed, draping over Kyungsoo.
“You’re cute.” Jongin smiled in that sleepy sort of way. Kyungsoo watched it spread in front of his eyes, a little too close and blurred, instead of on the crisp display. When he glanced up to the camcorder the smile was gone. “I don’t want you to move away.”
Kyungsoo kept the lens focused on them and his expression fell to match Jongin’s. The screen glowed brighter than the bedside light. “You’re moving away too.”
“Why did we decide to go to different colleges?”
There was a pause and it held an echoing silence only found out in the countryside. The sound of determination and lofty dreams cracking under the fear of separation didn’t pick up on the mic.
“Because it’s what we wanted.”
They found each other in the display and Kyungsoo couldn’t help but smile.
Jongin’s words were warm in the intimate space. “The battery’s running low.”
“That’s okay; it can just run out.”
“But then our video will be over.” It was a whine, nuzzled into Kyungsoo’s neck as Jongin’s skimmed his hands up under the covers. With a grin and a flinch, Kyungsoo’s laugh drifted toward the mic. It sounded tired and giddy. Even with the impending end to their life as they knew it, there was still an air of excitement.
“All films have an ending.”
Jongin kissed at pale skin above a loose neckline. He decided his shirt looked good on Kyungsoo. “To end with a sudden cut is sad though.”
“Sometimes sad endings are the best ones.” Kyungsoo set the camcorder down on the nightstand as Jongin crawled over him with that look in his eyes.
“How about we make a happy ending?”
Kyungsoo pushed on the chest above him, playful, before tangling fingers into the hairs at the nape of Jongin’s neck and pulling him down. Smiling into the kiss, Jongin reached across Kyungsoo to turn the camcorder away. It cuts off at the sound of a muffled, carefree laugh.
